Placing objects on a table. Improvisations with compositions. Three is the number to start a story. The background is always blue, alike the theatrical set in Rohmer's Perceval le Gallois (1978). Arrangements is a video series consisting of 5 situations, A-E. Part *A is a reflection on the fragility of storymaking.

«Nothing other than weaponry and love cannot happen in the courtly world, and these two are of a special kind - they are not events or sensations which may also be absent for a time, but they are permanently connected with the person of the perfect knight, they belong to his definition, so that he cannot be a moment without weaponry and a moment without love entanglement - if he did, he would lose himself and would no longer be a knight. The knightly ideal has survived all disasters. It survived even the Don Quixote of Cervantes. As result (...) remains that the courtly culture was decidedly unfavorable to the development of an art that grasped reality in its full breadth and depth.» ( Extract from Erich Auerbach: Mimesis, 1946 / Quote that inspired the film)
