The Filmische Initiative Leipzig FILZ and GEGENkino, together with Cinémathèque Leipzig, will present challenging, experimental short films with acoustic dimensions, which take the supposed and actual documentary qualities of sound as their starting point and in a special way work out how sound directs attention, reflect the disturbance-prone relationship between image and sound or which approach fictional film with a sophisticated artificial sound design.
parasound II is part of the biennial exhibition project paradoks (watch out for 2021!), which is dedicated to the margins of documentary in local and international video art.
