(On) what are we looking today? A film, a terror vision, an inner state? First of all, director Michael Haneke lets us view a videotape with the protagonists that shows nothing (special). The view of their own home. Surveillance. Depressing. An investigation begins and we become accomplices. Who recorded the tape, why? Caché [invisible, hidden, secret] is an observation into the dark, playing with our viewing habits, taking us into the psychological decay of a family. What the film moments in the film want to tell us, and what can still be doubted, we can try to find out by looking back and forth together. Afterwards we can discuss. The film is part of the film series «Zeug:in werden» (Becoming a Witness), which focuses on the filmic acts of witnessing.
